THE PREVALENCE OF BLANDM, BLAVIM GENES AMONG ENTEROBACTER CLOACAE BACTERIA

This study was aimed to detect the prevalence of blaVIM and blaNDM genes among Enterobacter cloacae isolates that were isolated from Iraqi patients. About 50 bacterial collected different hospitals in Baghdad city all these diagnosed using biochemical tests CHROMagar culture media conformed Vitek II system. The antibiotic susceptibility for E.cloacae determined disk diffusion (Kirby Bauer) method results showed bacteria resistance Cefepime Meropenem antibiotics percentage (50%), (40%) respectively. In addition it is resistant Amikacin, ampicillin/sulbactam, Piperacillin, aztreonam (20%), (40%), (55%) Also has been noted Cefixime (100%).
